Judith Barsi, who is perhaps most remember for her roles as “Ducky” in The Land Before Time (1988) and “Anne-Marie” in All Dogs Go To Heaven (1989), was brutally murdered by her father by being shot in the head while she lay sleeping in her bed July 25th, 1988. Her father also killed her mother just after when she rushed to her daughters aid. The father then allegedly lived in the home for some time with their bodies until he set the house ablaze and shot himself taking his own life in the homes garage. Judi, as she liked to be called was only ten years old. Judith and her mother did not even have headstones until fans from Judith’s TV and movie roles collected enough money to finally give them proper headstones. Judi’s headstone reads “In Memory of the Lovely Judith Eva Barsi 1978–1988 ‘Our Concrete Angel’ Yep! Yep! Yep!” in reference to her character Ducky’s catchphrase from The Land Before Time.
